Jeep Cherokee Third Brake Light Not Working

Recently the 3rd high center brake light has ceased to function.

Plugged in one that works it did not light. Well lets try reaching up to the brake light switch above the brake pedal and see if you can get to the switch and wires to probe them with a test light. Tail lights and headlights work. I looked in the manual but i don t see a fuse for the 3rd brake light.

When the fuse is blown it does not allow the circuit to complete. Thats good but your brake lights still don t work. The common causes the tail lights do not work are. Your looking for current going into the switch to verify if it is in fact getting current and that the fuse box is delivering.
