I m wanting to drain my house gutter flow underground to the front of my property.
Is it possible to make gutters out of pvc pipe.
I ended up cutting off about 1 3rd of the pipe using a table saw.
The lengths do not need to be precise but should be approximated to the best of your ability.
Pvc pipe is very strong so i just put steel screws inside through the back of it.
I see everyone using the black drain tile pipe but am worried about it getting clogged with twigs and leaves coming down the downspout.
In my wife s village near madang papua new guinea they always use pvc pipe for guttering on corrugated iron roofs.
Can you see any problems with this type of set up.
They cut a narrow slit along the length of the pipe just wide enough for the corrugations to fit inside the pipe.
Pvc pipe that is 4 inches or more in diameter can be split lengthwise and used as a simple homemade alternative to a gutter.
I d like to use regular pvc pipe instead.
Using either a pvc cutter or a hacksaw cut the 10 of pvc pipe into lengths of 6 2 6 and 4.
The first step in this project is cutting your pvc pipe down into the correct lengths for the gutter cleaner.
Use pvc cement to connect whole unsplit pipe using lengths of pipe joined by couplers.
