I m working on a similar solution to improve rigidity but when i run simulation the deflection is the same.
Inventor sheet metal emboss.
The sheet metal punch ifeature tree is listed in the left pane.
The emboss i create is 1 1mm depth per 22mm diameter and 24 external diameter to punch a cal14 1 9mm metal sheet.
As anyone knows if you stamp sheet metal it doesnt leave the content the lettering in my case with 90 degree angle on the lettering.
It pulls embosses 3mm height from the above face.
I m using the sheet metal tools to create a vacuum formed plastic part as it is easier to design it this way because it folds in multiple locations.
Punch tools can partially penetrate the face of your model and leave an embossed indentation or both cut and deform in a single operation.
Also tried chamfer and fillet but they d.
Creating sheet metal embosses in autodesk inventor you re better off being a brick layer if you re going to play guitar than a sheet metal worker.
I m trying to create a custom embossed feature in a inventor sheet metal part as it is used in about 30 places on a part i m designing.
On the ribbon click ifeature tab ifeature panel ifeature author table.
Parameters defined in the sheet metal punch ifeature are listed in the right pane.
Click open to navigate to the location where you saved your sheet metal punch ifeature and open the ide file that was created.
Ive tried tapering the lettering but cant.
