Intentional Roof Damage

Wind storms in blew down a fence in my back yard i also suspected it damage my roof.

Intentional roof damage.

By intentional we mean advertent that is the damage was applied with attention and not accidently. Tool and equipment damage. Here are some examples. For example intentional roof hail damage is not randomly distributed on the roof but usually occurs in groups or lines concentrated in upper portions of the roof away from roof edges.

Guys need some advice here. Roof damage may not be covered if. You ll encounter other types of damage to asphalt shingles that are not hail damage but may not be intentional damage either. You have an old roof 10 20 years or older the roof has not been maintained which leads to the roof damage intentional or accidental damage on the homeowner s part.

The indentations or surface marks are mechanically made with a tool or other hard object. A homeowner might have sustained some damage to a roof during a storm for example but when a contractor inspects it to provide a repair estimate they often inflate the damage or actually cause more damage to obtain a higher payment from the insurance it isn t just contractors who perpetuate the fraud. Although you won t always be able to identify the source you can often tell enough from the damage s appearance and location to rule out hail or wind.
